Analysis of Plot
The plot of TKAM shows that in most cases: trials, living establishments, and overall life comparison, that black people are treated less than white people. This means that it benefits all the white people and makes the whites the higher class while the blacks are the lower class. In TKAM Atticus says "As you grow older, you'll see white men cheat black men every day of your life…" and it clearly shows that it benefits the white people and not the blacks. Also amongst the black and white classes there is clear segregation. The plot also shows the difference in life between the poor people and the rich people. One family the Cunninghams were hit by the dust bowl so bad they have no money. But the finch family had little effect because of the dustbowl. This shows that it clearly benefits the rich and not the poor. Through Marxism this shows that the disruption will be a problem because of the different classes. This is shown throughout the whole plot and is a major focus.
